E1Room temperature sensor error- Unplug the unit and plug it back in. If error repeats, call for service
E2Evaporator temperature sensor error- Unplug the unit and plug it back in. If error repeats, call for service.
E4Display panel communication error- Unplug the unit and plug it back in. If error repeats, call for service.
E5The auto sliding panel malfunction- Unplug the unit and plug it back in. If error repeats, call for service.
E0Unit malfunction- Unplug the unit and plug it back in. If error repeats, call for service.

INDICATOR LIGHTS display

  • lights up when the POWER is on.
  • lights up when LOCK function is set.
  • lights up when TIMER ON function is set.
  • lights up when TIMER OFF function is set.
  • lights up when FOLLOW ME function is set.
  • lights up when SLEEP function is set.
  • lights up when FRESH function is set by remote controller.

Midea Portable Air Conditioner Troubleshooting

Please check the machine according to the following form before asking for maintenance:

Problem: Unit does not turn on when pressing ON/ OFF button

Possible Cause:

  1. P1 Error Code.
  2. In COOL mode: room temperature is lower than the set temperature.

Troubleshooting:

  1. The water collection tray is full. Turn off the unit, drain the water from the water collection tray and restart the unit.
  2. Reset the temperature.

Problem: Unit does not cool well

Possible Cause:

  1. The air filter is blocked with dust or animal hair.
  2. Exhaust hose is not connected or is blocked.
  3. The unit is low on refrigerant.
  4. Temperature setting is too high.
  5. The windows and doors in the room are open.
  6. The room area is too large.
  7. There are heat sources inside the room.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Turn off the unit and clean the filter according to instructions.
  2. Turn off the unit, disconnect the hose, check for blockage and reconnect the hose.
  3. Call a service technician to inspect the unit and top off refrigerant.
  4. Decrease the set temperature.
  5. Make sure all windows and doors are closed.
  6. Double-check the cooling area.
  7. Remove the heat sources if possible.

Problem: The unit is noisy and vibrates too much

Possible Cause:

  1. The ground is not level.
  2. The air filter is blocked with dust or animal hair.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Place the unit on a flat, level surface.
  2. Turn off the unit and clean the filter according to instructions.

Problem: The unit makes a gurgling sound

Possible Cause: This sound is caused by the flow of refrigerant inside the unit

Troubleshooting: This is normal.

Clean the Air Filter

  • Be sure to clean the air filter every 2 weeks for optimal performance.
  • The water collection tray should be drained immediately after P1 error occurs, and before storage to prevent mold.
  • In households with animals, you will have to periodically wipe down the grill to prevent blocked airflow due to animal hair.
